Rregullorja The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 kërkon që qiradhënësit:
- ta kenë instalimin e inspektuar dhe testuar nga një person i kualifikuar të paktën një herë në pesë vjet (më shpesh nëse raporti e thotë këtë);
- t'i japin një kopje qiramarrësve ekzistues brenda 28 ditësh, qiramarrësve të rinj para se të hyjnë në banesë, dhe këshillit lokal brenda 7 ditësh nëse e kërkon;

Këshillat lokale mund të gjobisin një qiradhënës që shkel rregullat, dhe mund ta bëjnë vetë punën.
